Canadian clear Bran MP DATA
Production Information :
Canadian clear bran MP cartridges are a range of nominally -rated filters available in a wide range of pore sites.
All the materials used in the construction are polypropylene and of the highest quality.
|
|
 |
The filter media consists of extremely, fine microfibres melt spun into a multi layer inert filter medium The graded density of the media closely parallels the retention characteristics of a membrane filter but at a greatly reduced cost.
The wide range of chemical compatibility combined with optimized pleats to give low pressure drops, makes the Canadian clear bran MP an ideal answer to many filtration requirements. |

Pleat Process
Canadian clear Pleat Process :
Canadian clear pleat elements are cylindrical
filters consisting of a pleated filter media, sometimes
arranged in multiple-layers as in the GF series, supported
by a perforated core and usually an outer protective
sleeve. The pleat packs are sealed into the required
end cap. The cartridges are manufactured to provide
a large surface area in a small volume resulting in
high throughputs coupled with lower pressure drops
and longer life compared to depth type filter cartridges.
Canadian clear pleat elements are manufactured in
our modernly built factory at Sheffield, using the
latest technology Modern production and testing methods
ensure reproducibility of product, first class performance
and competitive pricing.
The materials of construction should be chosen to suit the particular process conditions. Cartridges are available with gass fibre/polyester and cellulose filter media, standard elements have polyproplene cores and end caps, but for more arduous conditions stainless steel end caps and cores can be supplied. All materials used in the manufacture of Canadian clear pleat elements, are checked on arrival at our factory to ensure conformity with our exacting standards of quality and performance.
Canadian clear pleat elements can be used in the filtration of a wide variety of gases liquids, where precise and economical cartridge filters are required. Micron ratings available are 5 100 microns in cellulose 1 - 35 microns for glass fibre Lengths up to 40"(1 mete) can be manufactured in one piece with diameter from 2" to over 12"
Standard elements are designed for a maximum working temperatures of 80"C and a maximum differential pressure of 4 bars. However, we recommend that the differential pressure due to blinding be restricted to 2 bars for the most economical operation. For higher temperatures and pressures, a stainless construction can be used. GF elements are constructed of essentially inert material and are suitable for a wide variety of chemicals in particular acidic and alkaline solutions of chemicals, in the range of pH 1-14. Some caution should be observed with organic solvents and strongly oxidizing substances. In case of any doubts, please contact us. Cartridges are readily available for on site trails. Alternatively liquid samples can be evaluated in Sheffield
The performance of Canadian clear pleat elements is given on the basis of laboratory tests and on site evaluation. The nominal and absolute figures given are obtained under standard test conditions. We recommend that on site trails are carried out to ensure cartridge performance and life meets the clients full requirements. If in doubt, please contact us.
All industry standard end cap configurations can be supplied. The more common codes being code 3 (222 '0' ring). Code 7 (226) and double open ended (DOE). If in doubt about end caps and '0' rings/gaskets, please contact us or supply an old element for matching.
Standards lengths available are 10", 20", 30" and 40' nominal with diameters of 68 O.D. and 28 mm I.D. thus enabling easy fitting into most types of housing.

Canadian clear PLEAT :
Step 1
Media and core should be selected If in doubt, or in borderline cases, do contact us.
Step 2
Pressure drop/flow rate curves for GF elements, in water and dilute aqueous solutions. In situations where more viscous liquids and non-aqueous solutions are being processed, please contact us.
For economical operation we recommend that the initial flow rate should not exceed 18 Liters, (4 gallons) per minute per 10" length, and the elements be changed when the differential pressure due to blinding, exceeds 2 bar.
Step 3
For ease of selection all standard combinations of Canadian clear pleat cartridges, please contact us for information regarding special length, cores, media and end cap configurations and also for our range of filter housings and associated equipment. |
